I'm excited to be performing with my own organ group at Andy's Jazz Club Tuesday nights in May and June, 9 PM - 1 AM. The group will feature me on Organ, with Kyle Asche on guitar and Mike Schlick / George Fludas on drums.

Joining us as a special guest will be Marquis Hill on trumpet May 1st and 15th, Sarah Marie Young on May 8th, and Victor Garcia for the remainder of our run. It's gonna be a blast making music with these folks!

Hey All,

I'm off to Philly and New York for a bit, seeing family and checking out

Hey all,

Just writing a quick update to let you know I'm excited to be performing New Years Eve with the great Kimberly Gordon at Shaw's Crab House on Hubbard Street in Chicago. I'll be playing organ, with Henry Johnson on guitar and Dana Hall on drums. Come through and say hey!

Also, starting in January I'll be continuing my steady Monday gig at Andy's Jazz Club with the Guy King Organ Trio. I've recently bought myself an awesome sounding Hammond organ and Leslie, which I'll be using for those Monday gigs, so come out and catch me playing on the real deal. For January and February we'll be there from 7 - 11 PM.

This month, I've got a few upcoming performances I'm particularly excited about:

Tuesday Oct. 13th the Ben Paterson Trio will be performing at the Chicago Cultural Center as part of
their noontime jazz concert series. It's a free show, so if you're downtown at work come join us for your lunch.

October 16th and 17th, I'll be doing one of my all-time favorite gigs,
performing with the Von Freeman Quintet at the Green Mill! This is a great chance to
catch Von with his full band, and at one of the worlds greatest jazz clubs.

If you haven't heard it, this band is smokin! Guy is one of the greatest guitarists I've ever heard, and with our 3 piece horn section added to the band we'll definitely be tearing the place up.

I'm excited to be performing with my piano trio next Thursday, May 14th, at the Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook.

Hey everyone,

I've recently added a 'projects' section to the site, which includes info on some of the different
bands I've been working with on a regular basis. Check it out to get a better idea of what I'm
up to these days.

I've also added some recent recordings of a jazz-funk band I play with: The Skinny.
You can find several tracks from this killin group in the audio section,
as well as a link to their MySpace in the links section. We'll be going into the studio to do some
more recording in the next few months.

More performance dates have been added for April and May, so
come on out when you have a chance. A lot of venues are cutting
down on music due to the economy, so we need people to come out.
The Chicago scene needs your support!

Downbeat Magazine in this month's issue, and the reviewer,
Frank-John Hadley put in a nice line about me:

Just got back from a great 3 week trip to the east coast. I heard a ton
of great music, played with some excellent players, and got a little time on the beach to cap it all off.

Anyway, I'm back in Chicago and ready to dive back in to making some
music around town.

Hey everyone,

I recently got back from an amazing New Year's Eve gig in
the Turks and Caicos Islands down in the Carribean. It's pretty
much paradise down there. You can check out a shot of me
setting up for the gig in the photos section.

I'll be taking some more time-off from the Chicago winter
weather, heading to New York, Philadelphia, and Miami for the
next few weeks.

I'm looking forward to some great gigs coming up
